From Family Advocate to Global Educator

Debi began her advocacy as the mother of a young transgender child navigating school systems, health care, and public scrutiny. What began as a personal journey quickly turned into a broader mission to educate and support others.

Over the last decade, she has spoken to thousands of people across the U.S. and internationally. She offers solo presentations on parenting, policy, and the power of affirmation, and also co-leads the acclaimed “Parallel Perspectives” program with trans advocate Jessica Lynn.

In 2025, Debi launched “Anatomy of Backlash,” a training developed specifically for international audiences seeking to understand and counteract the political attacks on LGBTQ+ rights spreading globally.
